You must be at least 18 and hold a valid driving licence. Some cars require a few years of driving experience — get in touch and we will find the right car for you. ### Where do I collect the car? Cars are collected from BilFleks at Isakveien 70, 2004 Lillestrøm. Once your request is approved, we agree on an exact time, and you receive the key and a short walkthrough of the car at pickup. If you need delivery or a different pickup address, let us know in your request and we will work something out. ### Which payment methods do you accept? The deposit and the rent are paid by card via Stripe after the rental agreement is signed. You pay nothing when you send your request: once we have confirmed, you receive an email where you first sign the agreement and then pay through a secure payment link. The car is ready for pickup as soon as the payment is registered. ### Is insurance included? Yes. Standard insurance is included with every rental and covers damage, theft, fire and natural damage as well as liability — with an excess of NOK 40,000 per incident, as set out in the rental agreement. Cover runs from pickup until the car is returned. ### How do I book a car? Choose the car you want and send a no-obligation request through the booking page with your details and a photo of your driving licence. We will get in touch to confirm availability, price and pickup. ### What is a car subscription? With a BilFleks subscription you have a car for one fixed monthly price — and you can swap cars every month with no lock-in period at all. Your needs change, we change the car. ### What should I know about returning the car? The car is returned freshly washed (inside and out) with a full tank. The deposit is refunded within one week of return. Tolls, parking and any fines are deducted from the deposit. ### How much does it cost to rent a car from BilFleks? Each car shows its price per day on the Rental cars page, from around NOK 1,500 per day for an everyday electric car to several thousand kroner per day for sports and luxury cars. The price includes 200 km, standard insurance and a full tank at pickup. On top of that you pay a NOK 7,000 deposit, which is refunded after the rental. ### How many kilometres are included in the rental? 200 km are included in every rental, regardless of how many days you rent. If you need more, agree it with us in advance and extra kilometres cost NOK 15 per km. Kilometres beyond the included amount without prior agreement cost NOK 50 per km. ### How much is the deposit, and when do I get it back? The deposit is normally NOK 7,000 and is paid by card together with the rent after the agreement is signed. It is refunded within one week of returning the car. Tolls, parking and any fines from the rental period are deducted before the rest is paid back. ### What happens if the car is damaged while I am renting it? Let us know straight away and we will handle the damage together with the insurer. Standard insurance is included in the rental, and the rental agreement sets an excess of NOK 40,000 per damage incident. The photos you take of the car at pickup and return show what was there before, so you are not charged for damage you did not cause. ### How do I sign the rental agreement? You sign digitally with BankID via Scrive, from the link in the email you receive once we have confirmed your reservation. If you do not have Norwegian BankID, for example because you live abroad, you sign electronically in the same service without BankID. You can read the full agreement before you sign. ### Can I have the car with a driver? Yes, a driver costs NOK 1,000 per day and is selected in the booking form. For rentals longer than one day you choose how many days you want a driver and write in the message which days they apply to. The amount is added to the price summary and to the total rent. ### Can I rent a car for a month? Yes. Monthly rental is a fixed 30-day period at a fixed monthly price, with insurance included. Cars offered by the month are marked "Monthly rental" on the Rental cars page; choose "Book monthly rental" on the car and the end date is set automatically 30 days ahead. If you need a car for several months, a car subscription lets you swap cars every month with no lock-in. ### Can I rent a car for just one day? Yes. Choose "Day rental – 24h" in the booking form and you have the car for 24 hours from the agreed pickup time. The price is the car's daily rate, and 200 km and standard insurance are included even for a single day. ### When can I collect and return the car? We are open every day from 08:00 to 17:00 at Isakveien 70, 2004 Lillestrøm. The exact pickup and return times are agreed when the reservation is confirmed and are stated in the rental agreement. If you need the car delivered to another address, mention it in your request and we will agree on delivery and any cost for the drive. ### What do I need to bring when I collect the car? A valid driving licence. You must be at least 18, and the rental agreement must be signed and the deposit and rent paid before pickup. At pickup we go through the car together, and you take four photos of it from the link in your email. ### Why do I take photos of the car before and after the rental? The photos document the condition of the car and protect both you and us. You take four photos (front, right side, left side and back) when you collect the car and four when you return it, via the link in the email with your rental agreement. No login is needed, and the photos are stored securely with BilFleks. ### Can I cancel or change my reservation? Get in touch as soon as you know your plans are changing and we will find a solution. Cancellation less than 48 hours before the rental starts is charged at 100% of the rental amount, as set out in the rental agreement. You can rent with a valid foreign driving licence, and both the website and our emails are available in English. Without Norwegian BankID you sign the agreement electronically via Scrive, and payment is made by card in the same way as for Norwegian customers. ### Can companies rent cars and pay by invoice? Yes, we rent to businesses. Contact us at info@bilfleks.no or +47 24 17 94 84 with which cars you need and for how long, and we will send you an offer. Payment and invoicing are agreed directly with the company. ### Can I rent several cars at the same time? Yes. On the Rental cars page you will find packages with several cars on one order, at one price per day for the whole package. You get one rental agreement, one signing and one payment, and you take photos of each car at pickup and return.
